Abstract

We propose a semi 3-dimensional (3D) algorithm for time-resolved diffuse (TR) optical tomography (DOT), based on a modified generalized pulse spectrum technique (GPST). The algorithm uses a 3D forward photon diffusion model and 2-dimensional (2D) inverse model. We demonstrate numerically and experimentally that the proposed method outperforms the calibrated 2D one.
