The mapping of olfactory functions in the Drosophila brain with calcium imaging

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

We have developed an imaging system that couples two-photon microscopy with the specific expression of the calcium-sensitive fluorescent protein, G-CaMP. This technique affords an opportunity to monitor activity in defined eurons throughout the fly brain.
