Localization of fluorophore depth in tissue from changes in fluorescence spectra

Abstract

We present a novel method for determining the depth of a localized fluorophore in tissue, based on changes in the fluorescence spectrum, because of tissue absorption. Ratios of wavelength bands correlate with the depth.
