Three-dimensional diffuse optical imaging of joints: System description and phantom studies

Abstract

A CCD-based DOT system with 64⨉64 channels was developed for joint imaging. The phantom studies suggest that up to 1 mm thick “cartilage” can be quantitatively resolved in terms of the shape, size and optical properties by using our 3D reconstruction approach.1
