Depth localization of lesions in time-domain scanning optical mammography from off-axis measurements

Abstract

The depth location of tumors is obtained from line scans recorded at various source- detector offsets taking into account the shape of the average photon trajectory. Knowledge of depth facilitates reliable estimation of tumor optical properties.
