Statistics of partially coherent beams propagating through scattering media – a numerical approach

Abstract

The characteristics of beams with adjustable spatial coherence properties propagating through highly scattering media are studied using Monte Carlo simulations. The statistics of the intensity distribution obtained after propagation through diffusive media is correctly reproduced.
