Diffuse Optical Tomography and Positron Emission Tomography of Human Breast

Abstract

We have acquired images of the breasts of four females with suspicious masses using Diffuse Optical Tomography (DOT) and Positron Emission Tomography (PET). The images are compared, and the possibility of new types of functional contrast for cancer imaging are proposed.
