Diagnosis of osteoarthritis in the finger joints by threedimensional diffuse optical tomography: Pilot clinical results

Abstract

The results of this pilot clinical study show that finger joints can be quantitatively imaged by 3D diffuse optical tomography. The reconstructed images as well as the recovered optical properties have demonstrated significant differences between joints with and without osteoarthritis.
