Abstract

In spite of the remarkable advances that have been made in designing molecular beacons and imaging their delivery to small animal tumors under normal growth and their diminution under therapeutic conditions, no beacon has been used in a significant trial with human breast cancer patients. However biopsy specimens open the opportunity to image intrinsic and extrinsic signals of animal and human cancers
