Optical Fourier Techniques for Medical Image Processing

Abstract

Photo-controlled absorption and polarization of Bacteriorhodopsin (bR) films are exploited to perform spatial filtering for screen film as well as digital mammograms. The results offer useful information to radiologists for early detection of breast cancer.
