In vivo Fluorescence Spectroscopy during Breast Core Needle Biopsy

Abstract

We carried out clinical trials where we measured breast tissue fluorescence spectra during core needle biopsy. This study demonstrated the feasibility of in vivo fluorescence spectroscopy for assessing breast tissue composition during a clinical biopsy procedure.
