Fast optical signal not detected in awake behaving monkeys

Abstract

In awake monkeys during visual stimulation, we were able to measure hemodynamic responses and visual evoked potentials with optimal SNR, but failed to detect any fast optical signal. The usefulness of this signal is questioned.
