Next Generation Heterodyne Multi-spectral Breast Imager

Abstract

We describe a Diffuse Optical Tomography breast imaging device. Frequency domain heterodyne measurements are made by modulating a laser source and detecting the transmitted light with a gain-modulated image intensifier coupled to a CCD.
