Simultaneous imaging of cerebral blood flow and partial pressure of oxygen during cortical spreading depression

Abstract

We develop a novel imaging technique that provides real-time two-dimensional maps of partial pressure of oxygen and cerebral blood flow in rats and mice by combining phosphorescence lifetime imaging with laser speckle contrast imaging.
