Determination of Burn Depth Based on Depth-Resolved Second-Harmonic-Generation Imaging of Dermal Collagen

Abstract

We applied depth-resolved second-harmonic-generation imaging of dermal collagen fiber for estimating burn in fresh chicken skin. Depth and area of the burn was visualized by difference of image contrast between burned and sound area.
