Abstract
In this work we present the analysis of the accuracy of velocity measurement by means of joint Spectral and Time domain Optical Coherence Tomography (STdOCT) method. Additionally, we determine the minimum detectable velocity. The broadening of flow velocity profiles (Doppler bandwidth) serves as the parameter of analysis. A well-defined flow of scattering medium in a glass capillary was imaged. The impact of the factors such as signal-to-noise ratio and oversampling on the velocity assessment was taken into account. The results allow for development and designing of scanning protocols optimal for in vivo imaging.
