Infrared Cholangiography in open surgery and its projection to minimally invasive surgery

Abstract

This paper describes an alternative method for imaging the bile ducts during Cholecystectomy. X-Rays are not needed. Positive results in open cholecystectomy are shown and the design of an IR endoscope is evaluated.
