Regional and Hemispheric Asymmetries of Cerebral Hemodynamic and Oxygen Metabolism in Newborns

Abstract

By using noninvasive optical techniques, we presented higher cerebral hemoglobin oxygenation and metabolism in the temporal and parietal than in the frontal region and higher metabolism in the right than in the left in newborns.
