Abstract

In this study, a combined magnetic resonance and optical tomography imaging system is used to simultaneously measure enhancement kinetics of optical and a MR contrast agents in mice bearing a breast cancer tumor models. Pharmacokinetic analysis is performed for both agents and the potential of using the recovered pharmacokinetic parameters in differentiating different tumor types is investigated.
