Microvascular Blood Flow Changes in Human Breast During Simulated Mammography

Abstract

We employ Diffuse Correlation Spectroscopy to measure microvascular blood flow in human breast during mammographic-like compression. Our results suggest that blood flow is reduced significantly by mild and ~90% by mammographic compression.
