Combining Optical Tweezers and Microfluidics for Studies of Glycolytic Oscillations in Single Yeast Cells

Abstract

Combining microfluidics and optical tweezers, glycolytic oscillations in individual yeast cells have been studied and the heterogeneous responses characterized. Synchronization and cell coupling to external acetaldehyde have also been investigated.
