Collagen Fiber Orientation Mapping with Top Layer Discrimination using Polarized Light Spatial Frequency Domain Imaging (pSFDI) on Native Heart Tissue

Abstract

We developed and demonstrated that pSDFI is able to perform the depth controlled collagen fiber orientation mapping on native heart tissue in a fast manner. pSFDI will facilitate the development of microstructure based constitutive model.
