Tissue Metabolic Rate of Oxygen Consumption in Calf Muscle Measured by Arterial and Venous Occlusion Protocols

Abstract

Calf muscle oxygen consumption rate was measured by near-infrared spectroscopy with arterial and venous occlusion protocols (AO/VO). AO generates more accurate results while VO is more tolerant by those who cannot bear high occlusive pressure.
