Modeling of Acoustic Detection of Ultrasound Contrast Agents Using COMSOL

Abstract

Ultrasound contrast agents are used in the imaging of blood vessels and detection of diseases like ischemia. A COMSOL model is proposed to simulate the ultrasound scattering from microbubbles. Differences between free and adherent microbubbles are studied.
