Abstract

We present a pilot clinical study for breast cancer diagnosis and neoadjuvant chemotherapy monitoring using quantitative multispectral photoacoustic tomography. Absolute total hemoglobin concentration and oxygen saturation maps from several breast cancer patients are obtained for the first time and compared with the MR images and biopsy reports.
