Near-infrared Optical-resolution Photoacoustic Microscopy with 1046 nm Illumination

Abstract

Due to weaker scattering, near-infrared light can penetrate deep in biological tissue. We demonstrate near-infrared optical-resolution photoacoustic microscopy (NIR-OR-PAM) with 1046 nm illumination and validate its deep imaging capability both in phantoms and in vivo.
