Optical Coherence Tomography Guided Smart Microsurgical Tools

Abstract

I present the design and implementation of novel handheld SMART microsurgical tools. The smart tools utilize ultrafast Fourier-Domain optical coherence tomography as high-speed high-precision distance sensors to control the surgical tool tip motion.
