The Effect of Scattering on Spatial Resolution of Raman Spectroscopy in Tissue

Abstract

We present a study to determine the minimum spatial sampling resolution required to detect cancer cells. We compare results from Monte Carlo simulations and experiments using beads embedded in tissue phantoms with varying scattering properties.
