Abstract

An 0.1-0.4THz AMC meta-sensor with live cells seeded, acting as a leaky-wave dielectric resonator is analyzed in a finite difference frequency domain. Ion-exchange through cell membrane interface forms a time-frozen material under test embedded in the computational space. The ovarian cells form an imperfect cavity on which TE mode waves get injected, their dispersive conductivity is validated to the production of surface plasmons for field enhancement. This knowledge was used to understand whether at all the SPP field confinement made the live cells more interactive to the irradiating field. A link between phase response and the induced electromagnetic visibility at mode matched frequencies is acquired by filtering out scattered fields from the surface of the detector with an improvement in sensitivity by a factor of 50.
