Abstract

We propose a novel transabdominal fetal pulse oximetry using frequency-modulated continuous-wave near-infrared spectroscopy. By measuring the time-resolved reflectance of light shined on pregnant sheep's abdomen, we experimentally recovered the fetal signals originating from deep tissue.
