Abstract

The breasts of over 300 patients have been imaged. A simple model of the optical parameters of breast tissue together with the spectroscopic information obtained from CW optical tomography at three wavelengths yield the oxygen saturation level and bloodvolume. The first results suggest that characterization of tumors is possible.
