Using laser speckle statistics and a variable-coherence source for imaging in diffuse media

Abstract

We demonstrate the potential for imaging inhomogeneities within a diffuse medium by analyzing the laser speckle statistics formed by a variable-coherence source. The coherence requirements of the source are discussed and some experimental results are presented.
