Data set size and image quality in diffuse optical mammography: evaluation of a clinical prototype

Abstract

A diffuse optical tomographic imager is described. It employs a large area CCD to collect large data sets (105 measurements) from 32 sources rapidly (30s). 3D images of breast tissue phantoms exhibit ~5mm resolution.
