Surface Plasmon Resonance Phase Imaging

Abstract

A new optical technique for measuring and visualization of local changes of the order of 10−6 in refractive index in a field of view, based on non-linear phase amplification by surface plasmon resonance is presented. Its application to biological and chemical local bio-sensing and imaging is suggested.
