Optical Waveguide Mode Selection Based Pattern- adjustable Optrode for Optogenetics

Abstract

Pattern-adjustable optrode based on optical waveguide mode selection is proposed for optogenetics. Multi-mode silica-on-silicon waveguide is used for demonstration to observe adjustable output patterns for at least 6 adjustable main propagating modes in the waveguide.
