Non-degenerate multiphoton microscopy for deep brain imaging

Abstract

We achieve non-degenerate 2-photon excitation (ND2PE) using a pair of IR and NIR beams and show that the emission intensity is proportional to the power of each beam. ND2PE provides an alternative to 3-photon excitation.
