Abstract

We fabricate a novel conventional hypodermic needle implanted optical probe for murine brain imaging. A needle assisted side-view endoscope was designed to make minimally invasive repeated access results in monitoring brain disease over several weeks. This novel technology can be useful in the field of in vivo biopsy for various brain researches including neurodegeneration, neurotoxicology and neurovascular disease without craniotomy.
