Holographic Display and Volumetric Light Sculpting by Dynamic Synthesis of 4d Light Fields

Abstract

We synthesize custom light fields by simultaneously modulating light in the spatial and angular domain. Experimental results show new applications for high-resolution 3D displays and for high-speed sculpted illumination with enhanced depth selectivity.
