Abstract

Rare gas halide lasers are efficient sources of high power in the UV. However, they would have expanded capabilities if their energy could be efficiently converted to more desirable wavelengths. This paper describes experimental results and analysis of Tm:YLF, a blue emitting solid state laser resonantly pumped by XeF.
