Abstract

Optical fibers have been used in place of coaxial cables as the signal transmission lines for time- and space-resolved neutron imaging experiments.1 A previous experiment involving 96 fibers was installed under adverse conditions, leading to large variations in fiber channel transmission. The present experiment, involving 144 fibers, was planned so that fiber termination (750 terminations) and termination quality assurance would be accomplished in much more favorable conditions.
