Abstract
Many of the important light-plasma interaction processes which are relevant to laser driven inertial fusion depend strongly on the laser wavelength, particularly at wavelengths shorter than 1 micron. For example, as the wavelength is decreased, absorption by inverse bremsstralung will increase, resulting in a greater coupling efficiency from the laser to the imploding pellet.
