Abstract
Optical recording techniques promise a number of important advantages due to the high-storage capacity of 1010 bits and ease of handling. Recently many techniques have been published for small size optical pickups. However, it seems these are not sufficient for a 3-D optical pickup system for a high data rate such as video signals. A 3-D optical recording and playing pickup needs several properties.
