Abstract
Laser-driven inertial confinement fusion utilizing direct drive techniques will require on-target intensity profiles which are carefully controlled. Current ignition target designs require that the intensity on target should depart by <5% from a predetermined profile. Experiments are described which measured the phase and intensity of the 24-beam Omega laser system.
