Abstract
The resonance enhanced multiphoton ionization spectroscopy of ammonia has been investigated. Two-photon excitation to an intermediate state is followed by absorption of a third photon to ionize the molecule. Resonant excitation to both the and ’ states is observed using either a static gas cell or a skimmed free-expansion jet.
