Abstract
Over She past several years, the synchronously pumped mods-locked dye laser has become an increasingly useful tool for the picosecond laser researcher. While the pump source for this laser has typically been a mode-looked Ar-ion laser, the advantages of a solid-state pump have recently been noted and experiments reported utilizing a cw mode-locked Nd:YAG laser, frequency-doubled to S32 rim.1
