Thermo-insensitive resonator with mode-selecting aperture

Abstract

When there is an aperture in an optical resonator the elgenmodes of the resonator will be changed considerably. In this case previous theories of the thermo-insensitive resonator1 become inappropriate. We have solved this problem using the diffraction integral in terms of ray-matrix elements.2
