Abstract

For users of tunable lasers, it is desirable to have a compact wavemeter that can provide accurate wavelength measurement rapidly. It is also desirable to be able to run the wavemeter in vacuum. In addition, the wavemeter should be easy to use and low in cost. For accuracy near 10−6, these requirements have been achieved by commercial products. For accuracy near or above 10−7, compact dynamic wavemeters without serious limitations are still very scarce.
