System considerations for the laser repair of semiconductor memories

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

In the laser repair of memories, the best results have been achieved where the laser has been considered part of the fabrication process rather than an adjunct to testing. This paper presents the important laser system issues of laser-material interactions and geometry that aid in the design of laser repairable memories.
