Abstract

Normalized broadband single-shot GARS N2 spectra from within the cylinder of a firing internal combustion engine have been obtained with FWHM = 0.3-em−1 spectral resolution. High spectral resolution is desirable for detailed comparison with calculations, and the capability of obtaining normalized single-pulse spectra is vital for the study of transient processes.
