Abstract
The experimental verification of flame prediction models requires an accurate determination of the level of turbulent momentum transfer. Precise measurements of the temporal variations of the velocity field are essential for the description of the local levels of turbulence kinetic energy and its rate of dissipation. The real-time measurements of the velocity fluctuations require wideband laser Doppler velocimetry (LDV) signal demodulation and satisfactory performance in noisy environment and when many particles are present in the scattering volume.
